The challenge of combining advantages

In 1996, I graduated with honors from the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology) in Electronic Engineering. Right now, I am helping to realize hardware for our product group. Before this, I was responsible for the product development of the Nike-Philips PSA220/250 digital audio players. It was challenging to combine the advantages of Nike and Philips, and to create highly innovative and superior quality audio products that consumers would really love to own and use.

What do I think of working here? One thing I've discovered is that, as an employer, Philips takes care of the needs of the employee. This goes beyond the responsibility of providing us with a good working environment.

Developing my skills

Philips encourages people to develop themselves. And they don't just say it - they do it by providing training, which enriches our personal skills. I trulybelieve that I have great opportunities here to develop my own career path.

It's also important to relax after work, so in my spare time, I play guitar and listen to music. And recently, I set up a home theater system, so I can watch movies and enjoy the fantastic surround sound effect in my own home!
